of a race will result in a restart. This restart will be lined up in
original position with no one being penalized. NO RACING BACK TO THE FLAG
ON THE CAUTION!!!!
- Each lap is scored as a
completed lap when all racing vehicle have crossed the start/finish line.
- If you are
involved with a yellow/red flag incident (and you stop on the track) you
will be charged with a caution! The rule does not state who caused the
yellow/red, it states involved in the incident.
- You
must continue to move at all times, if you stop you will restart in the rear
of the field.
- All
drivers involved in two (2) yellow/red flags, no matter what the reason,
will receive a black flag on the third infraction.
- If you are stopped by a track
official for an inspection by the official and determined to be safe you
will get your position back. If any type of work needs to be performed to
your vehicle you will restart in the rear of the field.
- Line-ups after a yellow/red flag, vehicles will be lined up
according to the last completed lap.
8.
Restarts will be single-file at a cone placed on the front straightaway; the leader can pick
up the pace anywhere coming out of turn 4 until they reach the cone, drivers
must stay in single file order, strictly nose to tail and may not pass until
they have passed the cone. Any vehicle going inside of cone, hitting cone or passing
prior to going outside of cone will result in a yellow flag and that car
will be sent to the tail for the restart.
This rule maybe waived for some of the drivers in the beginner
classes.
- Rough driving will get
you a BLACK FLAG WARNING! Keep driving rough and you will be ejection from the race!
- If a
driver has not closed
the gap (nose to tail) after 1 pace lap they maybe moved to the rear of
the line.
- The
race will not be stopped for any race vehicle in the infield or off the
race surface and out of harms way.
- Lapped vehicles will restart in
the rear of the field in the event of a caution flag.

racing vehicle needs mechanical assistance, they will be allowed two
yellow flag laps once they have reached the hot pit/work area.
- If you do not take
the green flag you will not be allowed to enter the race until a
yellow/red flag has been displayed on the track.
- No
radios, communication equipment or mirrors are allowed.
- Yellow/red
flag on the white flag lap, the restart will be a green flag then a white
flag followed by the checkered.
- Any vehicles being lapped consistently by the field maybe
black-flagged for safety reasons at the flagman’s discretion.
Green Flag: The race is under way, and the
track is in a safe condition.
White Flag: One lap to go.
Red Flag: All vehicles must slow speed and stop at the flag
stand immediately.
Rolled up Black Flag: This is a warning that
you are involved in an unsafe race situation. It is the only warning you
will receive, your next Black Flag will not be rolled up and your ejection from
the race will be immediate.
Black Flag: This is an ejection indication from the flagman
that you were involved in a serious race situation and you are to exit the
track immediately. Failure to do so at this time can result in further
penalties.
Yellow Flag: Caution on the track the flagman has determined
it is necessary to slow down to a reasonable speed for safety. Slow Down, if
you do not obey the yellow flag when it’s presented to you, it can be the

Uncle Sam (IRS) always gets the checker
flag… first.
After the first of January,
drivers whose winnings for the year total $600.00 or more will receive a 1099
form. Under the present law, the IRS considers your winnings "Hobby
Income". If you win over $600.00, you must consider it taxable income.
On the 1099 you will find your name and Social Security number and the amount
of money won at Texoma Motor Speedway for the tax year.
Our accountant will have sent
a copy of this form to IRS; therefore you must report your winnings on your
Federal Income Tax Return and retain a copy of the 1099 form with your other
important tax records. If you have not picked up your 1099 form from the
office, call us and we will mail it to you.
You may claim deductions to help cut down or completely eliminate the tax due
on your winnings. Complete records of all expenses are a must if you expect a
tax break.
Major repairs and cost of vehicle can be depreciated. Minor repairs,
maintenance and operating expenses can be deducted in the year in which they
are incurred. All competition entry fees are deductible, as is the cost of the
physical examination that you should have each year.
If you are a traveling racer, meals, lodging and traveling expenses can be
deducted from your winnings. Again, stress the importance of accurate records
of expenditures and, in the case of travel, a complete log of mileage to and
from race dates is acceptable by the IRS.
