Mini Stock

IF IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT, THEN YOU CAN'T.

Car

  1. No tube frame cars!
  2. Stock body compact two or four door sedans, trucks or station wagons.
  3. After-market body allowed.
  4. No front wheel drive, No rear or mid engine vehicles.
  5. Doors must be welded, chained or strapped closed.
  6. No Spoilers.
  7. After-market nose pieces are allowed.
  8. Fenders may be altered for tire clearance.
  9. All materials that are flammable must be removed.
  10. All glass and plastic must be removed.
  11. Firewall must remain in stock location without any alteration.
  12. Fuel cell/gas tank compartment must be closed from the driver’s compartment.
  13. Stock front and rear suspension in stock location, may be reinforced. One shock per wheel. No weight jacks!
  14. Any steel wheel with a maximum of 7" width. Offset wheels are allowed. Plating, washers or double nuts are allowed. No aluminum wheels
  15. Tires must be DOT street approved. Maximum cross width (9) nine inches wide.
  16. Hoosier oval track D.O.T. dirt tire (medium compound) Hoosier G-60 is ok.
  17. No mud, snow, recaps or studded tires.
  18. No bead locks
  19. Tires may be ground or grooved.
  20. Right rear mud plug allowed
  21. Fuel cell is required, must be vented with ball type roll over valve.
  22. Pump gasoline only, No additives.
  23. Added weight must be securely bolted down, painted white and marked with car number.
  24. Minimum (2) two digits twelve (12”) inch tall door, hood and trunk numbers.
  25. No letters or metallic numbers.
  26. Snell 2000 full face helmet, fire suit and gloves (Nomax or equivalent) are mandatory.
  27. All cars must have a minimum of two working rear brakes. Three or four wheel brakes are recommended.
  28. All cars must have a padded headrest for the driver's seat.
  29. No mirrors.
  30. All cars should have a racing safety net on the driver's window, inside the body, which is removable.
  31. Must be wire mesh on the windshield area. The wire mesh must be 1/2"x l/2" minimum to 1"x l" maximum, 16 gage steel minimum. The mesh must cover the windshield area from hood to roof and extend across the car from the left roof pillar to the center of the car. The mesh may cover the entire windshield area. The mesh must be securely welded or bolted to the body and/or roll cage.
  32. All cars must have two vertical bars in the windshield area in front of the driver with a maximum of 17" opening (measured in any direction) to prevent large objects from entering the car. These bars may be part of the roll cage or separate bars welded or bolted to the body.
  33. All cars must have a working fire extinguisher mounted on the right side of the driver's compartment, within reach of the driver. The extinguisher must be securely mounted to prevent coming loose on impact, but must be easily removable. No taping the fire extinguisher to the roll cage, etc.

Roll Cage, Nerf Bars, Bumpers and Seat Belts

  1. Must have a minimum (6) six point cage.
  2. Must have (3) three door bars on drivers side.
  3. Metal seat must be mounted on the left side of car and must mount to the roll cage.
  4. No Set Back Drivers!
  5. Nerf bars must be no larger than 1’ x 2’ rectangle or 1” square tubing.
  6. Nerf bars must be mounted flush with body and have NO sharp edges.
  7. Bumpers must turn back into body on the end. NO Cow catchers!
  8. Seat Belts must be 3”-5 point belt & shoulder harness attached to frame/cage.

Engine

  1. Engine must remain in stock position, with stock mounts. Short chains may be used to secure the engine to the frame.
  2. Engine must match car make and model, O.E.M replacement parts are acceptable for car make and model.
  3. Pump or track gasoline only (no additives, no nitro and no alcohol)
  4. No turbos, No rotary, No iron Duke engines
  5. Engine must use stock block, head, and crankshaft. Steel valves only!
  6. In line (4) four cylinder engines maximum displacement of 2450cc.
  7. Ford must be 2.3 or 2300cc no larger.
  8. Toyota must be 22R or 2200cc no larger. (aluminum head ok)
  9. Must have a working starter.
  10. Stock bore and stroke you may over bore up to .60.
  11. No stroker engines allowed!
  12. Stock head may be milled. No porting or polishing.
  13. No aluminum heads unless stock from factory.  No after-market racing heads.
  14. No crank triggers.
  15. No dual overhead cams.
  16. NO Roller Cams
  17. Camshaft can not be bigger than 525, tech will be at the valves.
  18. Two (2) valves per cylinder only.
  19. Dish or Flat top piston only.
  20. Engine must be in stock location no set backs!
  21. Stock exhaust manifold only NO Headers!
  22. Stock intake manifold only.
  23. Holley 500 maximum CFM is ok.
  24. Maximum (2) two barrel carburetor only, one (1”) spacer ok.
  25. One (1) radiator is allowed and must be centered in front of car.
  26. One (1) 12 volt battery allowed, must be securely fastened to car.
  27. Batteries must be relocated away from the engine compartment and secured to floor with a minimum of two (2) steel straps with 3/8" bolts. Batteries must be mounted in a marine box to prevent acid from spilling into the car.

Transmission, clutch and rear end

  1. Standard shift cars must use stock flywheel and clutch. (Clutch and pressure plate must work)
  2. Automatic transmission cars must use torque converters
  3. Transmissions must have all gears working.
  4. Stock four lug rear end. Rear end must be stock for car make and model.
  5. All car drive shafts must be painted white and have a minimum of two safety loops.
  6. Locked/welded spider gears are optional.
No panda bars allowed.
